  Cream Cheese Spinach Puffs are a crispy and delicious snack made from a combination of puff pastry, cream cheese and spinach. It is baked golden brown and flaky. Here is its simple recipe..

    These puffs are crispy, cheesy and very tasty. You can spice it up or use feta cheese if you want.

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese (soft)

  • 1 cup cooked spinach (twisted and finely chopped; fresh or frozen)

  • 2 garlic cloves (finely chopped)

 • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

 • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 large egg (lightly beaten)

  • ½ tsp dried oregano

 • ½ tsp onion powder

  •Salt and pepper to taste

  • 2 sheets of puff pastry (thaw according to package instructions)

  • 1 egg (for egg wash, beaten with 1 tbsp water)

  Step 1: Prepare the filling

  In a medium bowl, mix cream cheese, cooked spinach, minced garlic, mozzarella, Parmesan, beaten egg, oregano, onion powder, salt and pepper. Mix until smooth and well combined.

  Step 2: Preheat oven

  Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  Step 3: Prepare the puff pastry

  On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheets slightly.

  Cut each sheet into 9 equal squares (3x3 grid).

  Step 4: Assemble the puffs

  Place about 1 tablespoon of the spinach mixture in the center of each puff pastry square.

  Fold the corners of the pastry towards the center and pinch them together to seal, creating a pouch. (You can also leave them slightly open for a more rustic look.)

  Place the assembled puffs on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each one.

  Step 5: Brush with egg wash

  Lightly brush the top of each puff with egg wash for a golden finish.

  Step 6: Bake

  Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until puffs are golden brown and puffed up.

  Step 7: Serve

  Remove from the oven and let cool slightly. Serve hot puffs with tomato or garlic sauce or serve hot or at room temperature.
