Suji Mawa Gujia is a traditional Indian dessert that is made on festivals like Holi and Diwali. Here is a simple recipe so that you can make Suzy Mawa Gujia at home

2 cups semolina

1 cup mawa (lost)

1 cup sugar

1/2 cup ghee or oil

1/2 teaspoon cardamom powder

1/2 teaspoon saffron

1/4 teaspoon salt

For Gazia's Flour:

2 cup flour

1/2 cup ghee or oil

1/4 teaspoon salt

Water as needed

Prepare Mawa: Heat Mawa on a medium flame in a pan and cook it until golden.


Make sugar syrup: Mix sugar and 1/2 cup of water in a pan and heat on medium flame. Let the sugar completely dissolve and cook until the syrup is thick.


Running Suzy: Heat semolina in a pan on medium flame and roast it until it becomes light gold.

Make a glimpse of the Gazia: Make a soft dough by mixing flour, ghee or oil, salt and water in a bow.

Divide the flour in small parts and vine in a round shape to each part. Mix the syrup in a mixture of mawa, semolina and sugar and keep this mixture on a portion of the juice of the gazia. Turn the gazia into a cup shape and close its edges.

From the Gujia: Heat oil in a embroidery and fry it until the gaza is golden on medium flame.


Serve: Serve and decorate the hot gazia with cardamom powder and saffron!

In order to make a more delicious to the Gujia, you can also put nuts like cashews, almonds or pistachies.


You can also get a pinch baking powder in it to make a more crispy.

To store Gujia for more days, keep it in an airtight container and keep it in a cold place.
